Greenland wins award as best mining country

Greenland is the best country in the world for mining in 2013-2014. For this reason Greenland recieved the "Country Award 2013" at Europe's largest conference for mining investors and finance," Mines & Money London ".

It was the magazine Mining Journal that awarded "Outstanding Achievement Awards" at the conference, and here the prize went to Greenland for "being the best country to do mining in 2013 - 2014".

Mongolia, Azerbaijan and Australia were also nominated for the award. The motivation for the choice of Greenland included the Greenland parliament's abolition of the uranium zero tolerance policy and the granting of an exploitation license for the Isua iron mine project.

"We are pleased and honored to get the award. It is a sign that the world recognizes our efforts and politics to become a mining nation in the future, "said Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Jens-Erik Kirkegaard.
